Elizabeth Henderson is speaking in Providence this week!

OK. I didn’t know who she was until just now. Here’s some lowdown:

Elizabeth Henderson is a farmer, advocate, and author. Her Peacework Organic Farm is located in Wayne County, NY. She is active in issues related to organic food, land protection, and agricultural justice. And her publications include The Real Dirt: Farmers Tell about Organic and Low-Input Practices in the Northeast, Sharing the Harvest: A Guide to Community Supported Agriculture, and more.

She’s a hero to a lot of people. Check her out on Friday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. at Brown University; Smith-Buonanno Hall 106, 95 Cushing St.
For information, call (401) 884-5118. North East Organic Farming Association/RI members are admitted free, nonmembers, $5.
